About MG
Thanks very much for your patience while I continually update this site!
Okay, so what should a fifty-two-year-old female defense attorney, who retired six months ago, write to describe herself? Well, I’m fifty-two-years-old and retired; that much is established. Right, this is much more difficult than I’d originally anticipated.
I could share with you a recent encounter I had with the police. No, it’s not what you think. I assisted a detective at a local precinct on a case that stumped Boston law enforcement completely. Police found a teenage girl with learning disabilities murdered and questioned everyone who had befriended her in the past month or so. Those interrogated were college students from the community college near the deceased’s home.
With no motive or murder weapon, suspects were hard to come by. Thus, entered yours truly. For years, I represented hardened criminals who were well-versed in the art of little-less-than-truthfulness. I punched more holes in theories than there are pierced seventeen-year-olds, and I have an uncanny sense of observation. Put these all together and you get one helluva law enforcement special advisor. Is this a surprising career-change for me? :-)
I certainly wouldn’t mind having something constructive to do with my free time. I’m not the gardening type despite my name, but I do love computers and writing. Research comes second nature to me and I know the law inside and out. So, yes, I suppose I will take this role on full-time.
I should mention, however, the reason the detective and assistant D.A. contacted me in the first place to participate in the investigation.
As it turns out, I’m responsible for the murder.
